Kylie is an Australian-Canadian screenwriter and filmmaker based in NYC. Her most recent film, 'The Culinary Professor', a short documentary, won Best Woman Filmmaker at both the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards (HIIDA) and the Canadian Diversity Film Festival. The film also won Best Short Documentary at HIIDA (Dec). She has won awards for her directing and screenwriting, most recently a Best Director award for her short drama, 'Moral Compass' at the 2016 Atlantic City Cinefest. 'Moral Compass' which Kylie wrote, is a narrative short that has screened in six festivals globally. The film also received a best supporting actress award, won by Robyn Babina.
Kylie's feature screenplays have received industry recognition at a number of film festivals and she continues to produce feature length screenplays that typically feature strong female protagonists. Kylie is a member of the ISA, NYWIFT, the Australian Writers Guild, Australians in Film and the IFP. She is a graduate of the UCLA Extension Feature Film Screenwriting Certificate and the NYU Screenwriting Certificate. She has a big imagination and a penchant for the underdog.
