Ken Miyamoto's The Enemy Within wins ScreenCraft's Action/Thriller Contest After months of some explosive debates, hand-to-hand combat and breakneck chases, the jury has come to a triumphant consensus and we’re proud to announce THE ENEMY WITHIN by Ken Miyamoto as the grand prize winner of the 2014 ScreenCraft Action & Thriller Script Contest. It’s a fast-paced wrong man thriller with sharp character work that keeps the reader involved in the story and continually elevates the emotional stakes. Gritty and grounded, the script explores quintessential contemporary themes like personal versus national loyalty, how well we can ever truly know another person, counterterrorism doctrine and the perniciousness of fanatical terrorism. Eric Irizarry placed top scripts in the short comedy horror genre of The International Horror Hotel 2016.  His short script "Six Feet Under Par" outlines a Golfer and a Caddy's, who happen to be serial killers, rampage across town using people like they would golf balls.  Reviewers called it an anarchistic absurdist comedy with an underlying distubed nuance.

SVILEN KAMBUROV'S SCRIPT, "KING'S HEART", SCORES BIG IN REALTIME BLACKLIST!

"KING'S HEART" was previously under option with Dreambridge Films, though the project is now back on the market. The script won't remain available for long, as BLACKLIST industry pros have given it consecutive high scores, virtually propelling the screenplay to the top of the realtime blacklist in 2015.

The project honors King Boris III of Bulgaria and tells the extraordinary true story of the largest rescue during the Holocaust.  Svilen is also a producer on "KING'S HEART" and has been in contact with the Bulgarian Royal Family throughout much of the script's development. The project has the blessing and good-will of King Simeon II, King Boris' son. Directors at CAA and ICM are currently reading. Svilen is repped by Kenoff & Machtinger.

Stephen Potts lands development deal for GLAZVOROV

Back in 2011 I woke one morning with the basis for a historically set horror film in my head. (The premise: a trainload of Tsarist Russians steams eastwards, fleeing the Russian Revolution. A pack of Siberian Zombies bars their way.)

Then titled ZOMBIE EXPRESS, I  pitched it at the London Screenwriters' Festival before a couple of hundred people, one of whom liked it enough to ask me to submit it to his company, Iron Box Films. Retitled GLAZVOROV, with a new monster  - and no zombies -  but still set in the Russian Revolution, it then had a rehearsed reading before John Madden and a live audience at BAFTA in London, in the Rocliffe New Writing Forum. Soon after that I clinched a funded development deal with iron Box, a fledgling British company with a growing slate of films in producution and  development.

Randy Brown Commissioned to Write Scenes for Screenplay & is in Production

I am a Canadian screenwriter in the hinterland. Earlier this year I made a wonderful connection. Mohen Naorem, a director in eastern India, liked some of my sample writing. He's producing and directing a feature film called 'My Japanese Niece'. It's a historically important period piece designed to heal old wounds between India and Japan, 70 years after the Second World War. Mohen commissioned me to write the battle scenes for the Battle of Lion's Box and the Battle of Numshigum for a total of 28 pages. The first battle was filmed in Thailand earlier this year and the second sequence goes into production in India in November.

This marks my first writing credit in a feature film as a contributing writer. As a reward, Mohen has asked me to portray one of the characters in the second set of battle scenes. I am honored to have my work produced half way around the world with a team that comes from three continents. The lead actor, Junichi Kajioka, is of Japanese descent and lives in London. With organizations like the ISA, my work can have a global impact.
