The Association Rive Gauche – Festival, Florence, Italy, is pleased to announce the 8th edition of its International Cinema Contest. The Festival aims at promoting the collaboration and competition of young directors and promotion and distribution of audio-visual works. The Festival also wants to encourage facilitate directors in their contacts with producers, distributors, actors who will be guests of the event.
Sections of Festival It’s possible to submit works for the following sections: a – Short Fictions and Directorial Debuts b – Documentaries c – Innovative and experimental film d – Animation e – Screenplays:it is possible to submit screenplays for both short films or feature films. Original screenplay for short films must be no longer than 30 pages, whereas screenplays for feature films must be longer than 30 pages. Screenplays must be in English or in Italian.
Applicants must specify the submission section.
Dates of the Festival Work can be sent until the deadline, that’s August 31st, 2021.
PRIZES
First prize is € 500. Besides for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, there will be the will be the InkTip Package (the screenplay will be sent to film production companies) and a personalised plate. The best screenplay in Italian for a feature film will win the Elena Bertoldi special prize.
Screenplays: it is possible to submit screenplays for both short films or feature films. Original screenplay for short films must be no longer than 30 pages, whereas screenplays for feature films must be longer than 30 pages. Screenplays must be in English or in Italian. Once material has been entered, no substitution of a new draft or correction will be considered after 24 hours form original submission time
