ISA's Panel Series: From First Draft to Final Draft


Join us for a special ISA's Third Thursdays - New York as we present the next in our Panel Series: From First Draft to Final Draft - a dissection of the process of screenwriting with Jess Hinds and screenwriter Victoria Negri. Creator of Meditative Writing, Jessica Hinds will moderate the discussion and audience Q&A. This event is free and open to all. You must register to be admitted. Victoria Negri
Victoria Negri is an award-winning writer/director/producer/actress. Her feature directorial debut, Gold Star, which she wrote, directed, produced, and performed in, features Oscar-nominated actor Robert Vaughn in his last on-screen performance. Gold Star won five awards on the festival circuit and was selected by Big Vision Empty Wallet as a Kickstart Diversity Film. The film was distributed via Turn Key Films on VOD and was theatrically released in New York City. Always a cinephile, Victoria is a programmer for the Oxford Film Festival and has written pieces on filmmaking for NoFilmSchool, BtchFlicks, Women and Hollywood, and The Talkhouse. She is currently in development on her second feature film ULTRA, with Executive Producers David Lowery, Toby Halbrooks, James Johnston and Producers Jon Read and Allison Carter.

Jessica Hinds

Jessica S. Hinds is an award-winning writer, teacher, and creator of Meditative Writing ©. She wrote the award winning film “Stranger at Home”, and best screenplay winner "The Mending Wall" (Stonefair International Film Festival, Oregon Film Awards Gold Winner). As a teacher Jessica has mentored thousands of writers including Sundance Award-winning filmmakers, Emmy Award-winning writers & producers, Tony Award winners, best-selling authors, professional musicians, TV showrunners, reality TV stars, published poets, and emerging artists in the fields of screenwriting, playwriting, novel writing, TV writing, memoir writing, poetry, journalism, and music.

Jessica is the co-host of the radio show Truth To Power. She has been a guest teacher & speaker at The Breakk with Karen Kirkland, The NYC Women Filmmakers, Stage32 house @ Sundance, The New School for Drama, The Writers Digest Conference, ITV Fest, The English Writers of Buenos Aires Collective, The Curious About Screenwriting Podcast, and a dozen other Schools, Festivals, and Conferences around the world from California to Indonesia.
