SCOTT GOLDMAN
Scott Goldman is counsel to the Entertainment Group at Frankfurt Kurnit, representing individual and corporate clients in the film and television industries.
Mr. Goldman negotiates and structures a wide range of entertainment transactions, including actor, writer and director agreements, television and film producer agreements, licensing and merchandising agreements, rights acquisition agreements, brand sponsorship agreements, and production and distribution agreements.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Mr. Goldman was an associate at Bird, Marella, Boxer, Nessim, Drooks, Lincenberg & Rhow, P.C., where he represented clients in complex entertainment disputes involving breach of contract, profit participation, copyright infringement and idea submission law.
Outside of his law career, Mr. Goldman has extensive experience as a film and television producer. He has developed projects at various television networks and motion pictures studios, including Warner Bros., DreamWorks Pictures, CBS, ABC, TBS and Showtime. Among other films, he produced “The Tenth Circle” at Lifetime starring Britt Robertson and Ron Eldard and the New Line feature “My Sister’s Keeper” starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin. He is admitted to practice in California.
MYNDA R. KRATO
Mynda R. Krato is an Associate in the Entertainment Group. She handles a broad range of transactional entertainment and intellectual property matters, with a focus on development, production, sales, and distribution deals in the film, television, and digital media industries.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Ms. Krato served as Manager of Business and Legal Affairs for FilmNation Entertainment, where she negotiated international film sales, distribution, and finance agreements for notable titles such as “Late Night,” “The Personal History of David Copperfield,” and “The Big Sick.” She also worked on a variety of motion picture development and production deals, and advised sales teams during major international markets and film festivals.
Ms. Krato began her legal career as a legal intern for the Alliance of Artists and Recording Companies and later, the National Music Publishers’ Association, where she worked to protect the intellectual property rights of music artists, publishers, rights holders, and songwriters. She then served as a law clerk for Fox Cable Networks and later, National Geographic Channels, where she helped to structure and draft licensing, production, talent, music, and development agreements for domestic and international television networks and online properties. Ms. Krato is admitted to practice in both New York and the District of Columbia.
