As writers and from managers, we have compiled all the writing exercises we have learned that WORK! We've left out the ones that don't and have focused on all that do. Deliberate practice will improve your writing, help you have breakthroughs and keep you from suffering from the dreaded writer's block. It's worked for us and it will work for you.
From this book, you will learn the exercises that Hollywood professional screenwriters use to improve their craft and to create breakthrough level writing. This book was compiled from our team's collection of personal writing exercises, learned either from managers, other writers or through experience. All of these exercises, in some way, contributed to their overall development as professional screenwriters who have won competitions, optioned and/or sold screenplays.

So nice to see Mary, David, and Nancy again. I so enjoyed tonight’s speaker, a woman role model, who had so much to say. I won a door prize too, the workshop tribe book. Should be fun to delve into on a rainy evening. Thanks again and hope to see you at another ISA event soon.

Best,

Lisa Parsons

P.S. Bill Johnson won a prize too for a submission to a contest.  Our lucky day totally.  Even gluten free cookies I like too

Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for holding this event. It was both informative and encouraging. I'm also a graduate of the NW Film Center School of Film certificate program and I took you holding it there as a definite sign that I should come. Of course, that sign turned to bright neon when I won the free entry for the Cinequest screenwriting competition as a door prize. Time for me to give one of my scripts another polish and submit it to Cinequest.

Thanks again,

Noah Hale
