Multi-character TV Loglines
Beyond the logline for the TV series as a whole, and moving the microscope into a season or even the pilot, does anyone have any insight into writing a logline for a story with multiple character focus. Over the course of a season, my cast of 4 will go through major character development, but I am unsure how to keep that succinct.

Thanks for your help!

Lane Shefter Bishop has a chapter titled, "The Group Perspective" in her excellent book, SELL YOUR STORY IN A SINGLE SENTENCE, entirely devoted to how to write a logline. I hope it helps!

Hi Laura, I had the same problem. I have a trio of characters, each sharing the limelight and going through different journeys. I used the principles from Save the Cat by Blake Snyder and then I tested them on https://logline.it/ to get some feedback. I basically tried to find the similarities between them and the overarching journey they share then used that to make my logline. Hope that helps!
