The International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema London is situated in the heart of London. This naturally fills our festival with a wealth of talent from around the world. With over 10 years of success, our group of festivals, including Nice, Berlin, London, Madrid and Milan, strive to provide attendees with invaluable networking events amongst other filmmakers in addition to advice and tips from a panel of industry professionals. All of this is neatly wrapped in a week-long showcasing of submitted films across many genres and styles.

It is an unmissable experience which caters for an array of needs, be it an individual seeking production of a developed script, or filmmakers looking for distribution of their own film.

The International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Nice is situated in the South of France and is held a few days before the Cannes International Film Festival, making it common for Cannes goers to attend Nice beforehand as an introductory warm-up to the film festival season. This naturally fills our festival with a wealth of talent from around the world. With over 10 years of success, our group of festivals, including Nice, Berlin, London, Madrid and Milan, strive to provide attendees with invaluable networking events amongst other filmmakers in addition to advice and tips from a panel of industry professionals. The Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest is committed to fostering new talent and providing opportunity for screenwriters entering the industry to further develop both their craft as well as their careers. We are able to enhance the prospects of emerging screenwriters by honoring only the very finest in screenwriting achievement and encourage all original, artistic, and independent voices to submit your work to be considered alongside some of the country’s as well as the world’s very best new talent in cinematic storytelling.

World-famous for its luxurious culture and celebrity residents, Beverly Hills is a tight-knit community notorious for its exclusivity and elegance. As most know, the city is also home to many of the entertainment industry’s key decision makers and industry elite.  By forging powerful relationships with working professionals in the industry that matter, the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest seeks to raise the bar as one of the industry’s most notable screenplay competitions and the premier platform for screenwriters who aim to work alongside some of the industry's most creative and influential people, all in the exquisite city they call home.

Screenwriters view the world and their experiences as a series of stories, knowing all great films begin with a great screenplay. The Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest originated from the simple idea of helping screenwriters who demonstrate extraordinary talent advance their careers in the industry. We welcome writers from all backgrounds and experience levels to take part in this exciting opportunity to have your voice heard and words read.

Big Island Film Festival brings Filmmakers and Film Lovers together every May at The Mauna Lani Resort. We are hosted by The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai’i with one venue at The Shops at Mauna Lani, and supported by a growing list of participating sponsors. There is always something different to experience with exciting brand new films each year.


Our celebration of narrative filmmaking includes features and shorts from Hawaii and around the world, Filmmaker Workshops, celebrity Receptions & Salutes, a charity fundraiser, the Awards Brunch and more. Closing night “Best of the Fest” is an opportunity to show the Audience Choice Feature and Short films one more time, and to celebrate the music of Hawai’i.


We are thrilled and proud to be selected for MovieMaker Magazine’s acclaim, from 2007 to 2011, including “20 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee," “25 Coolest Film Festivals” and “Cool Fests 2011: Counting Down 20 Can't-Miss Festivals.” In 2012, the Hollywood Foreign Press surprised BIFF with a Film Festival Award.


Big Island Film Festival Feature Screenplay Contest


There will be three layers of judging.


Step One: Submissions will go to professional readers who will read the first ten pages. These entries will be narrowed down to nine semifinalists. Those selected will be contacted and asked to identify where Act 1 ends.


Step Two: Those nine scripts will go to a more experienced professional reader who will narrow the nine semifinalists down to three finalists based on the First Act. Feedback will be available to finalist at the film festival.


Step Three: Final decision as to winner will be made by veteran screenwriter/screenwriting instructor and/or a professional script consultant.


Finalists will be announced no later than March 15, 2015. Winner will be announced at the Awards Brunch of 2015 Big Island Film Festival on May 25, 2015.

The Big Star Screenwriting Competition is sponsored by the Dallas Screenwriting Association, one of the oldest and largest screenwriting groups in the country. This screenwriting competition is being launched in celebration of DSA's 25th anniversary and will be an annual event, with additional categories added each year.

In this, our inaugural year, we have partnered with some of the many industry friends of the DSA to offer great prizes for the best scripts in 5 categories.

Brcyfi is hosting it's 2015 Short Screenplay Competition, promoting original film creation for those with great ideas!  Breaking the Cycle Films (BCF) will produce the winning screenplay, bringing the screenwriter's story to the screen. Production includes: pre-production, principal photography and post production. Once completed, the final product will be provided to the winner in the form of an electronic file.

 

All genres are permitted, except horror. We are especially seeking drama, thriller/mystery and highly original material.  Your screenplays must be between 5 - 10 pages and in proper industry format.  No hard copies will be accepted. Contestants from all countries are eligible. But submissions must be in English.  Please include ONLY the title on the submitted manuscript to prevent reader bias. Full contact info, writer’s name, title and company information should not be printed on any part of the actual screenplay.  No entry fee refunds.  Script must not have been previously optioned, purchased, currently in production or previously produced. Any script that becomes purchased, optioned or put into production before the final Jury decision on February 29, 2016 will be eliminated from the competition with no entry refund.  Scripts must be original works. No adaptations will be accepted. Screenplays that do not match these rules will be rejected.
