The 7th Great TV Show Idea Contest is searching for the next big, influential television series–marketable concepts that can legitimately compete with current shows on a conceptual level. A series that opens the door for intensive character development, a broad storyline, and ultimately, a clever spin on the types of shows we’ve seen in the recent past. Accepted entries include loglines, synopses, video pitches, or full treatments and outlines. Completed pilot scripts are not reviewed, nor are entrants required to have a completed pilot. Think of the evolution of TV programming: what’s next, what haven’t we seen, and what type of an idea holds the potential for a long-running series?

For writers and non-writers alike, Script Pipeline provides additional development assistance and introduces the winner to top television executives searching for series concepts.

Since 2000, Script Pipeline has established relationships with hundreds of production companies, managers, and agents, resulting in $5 million in specs sold from previously undiscovered writers. The Great Movie Idea Competition looks to not only increase that total, but help visionary creatives get on the right track toward exposing their stories to the world.

The sole objective of the Launch Pad Competition is to recognize writers who have the passion and talent deserving of a professional Hollywood career, and with our track record we have shown that we can do just that. That is why the Launch Pad Competitions have led to 66 writers being signed in just 2 years! 9 writers have been staffed. 27 projects have been set up, generating 3 bidding wars.

Welcome to the 2015 Launch Pad Feature Competition. Get ready because this year we are pulling out all the stops. In addition to our 3 Grand Prize Winners, we are giving entrants an opportunity to take advantage of two amazing add-ons for only $25 more:

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:

IAN SHORR / ERIC KOENIG / SANTA SIERRA

One of the things we’re most excited about in 2015 is the new addition of our Mentorship Program. In our two years of existence, we’ve had an unfathomably amazing run of talented writers who have come through the Launch Pad and immediately begun careers, sold their scripts, and landed open writing assignments. But we wanted to add an extra layer of assistance to our Launch Pad writers, and we're doing so with our mentor program. This year Ian Shorr (Cristo, Capsule, Marble Hornets), LP Alum Eric Koenig (Matriarch) and LP Alum Santa Sierra (Chico Grande, In Search of Our Father, Sylvester Stallone) have come aboard to continue our mentor program with a focus on three key elements - getting you and your script ready, tips and strategies on pitching and choosing your next project, and insight on how to navigate a newly minted career in Hollywood.
