Internships / Fellowships
I'm looking for at least one partner to collaborate with on various projects.  Two series ideas: 1) A modern, procedural type, adaptation of a children's book (it's in the public domain, think Grimm and 2) A series that's in the vein of Heroes and AlphasTwo feature concepts: 1) A fantasy-quest type film in the vein of The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter and 2) A story of survival in the midst of the apocalypse.

I'm currently developing more, but these are at the forefront. I'm looking for someone who is good with the chaos of working on more than one project at a time, in varying genres and lengths. When submitting, I'd most like to know what you feel your strengths are. I'd also like to know about what you think are the weak points of your writing abilities. Which genres are you most attracted to? Please include anything that you feel is relevant to you and your writing style.

I am based in Las Vegas, but welcome submissions from everywhere. However, if you are based in the Las Vegas area, please include that in your cover letter. We will be equal partners on the project(s) and share any future profits.

The job is unpaid and experience only, but it is a great opportunity to make friends with a new developing production company.

Shore Scripts are looking for an intern to help them with a screenwriting seminar that is taking place in Hollywood over the 15th & 16th of July.

The times will be from 11am - 5pm each day. You will be needed to help enroll students when they come in and be ready to jump in and help out on any other tasks. It's going to be a small class, so your work won't be too intensive. Additionally, you'll get to sit in on the seminar and have free access to the ecourse we are filming.

We can pay $50 per day for this.

There's an opportunity after this to continue working with Shore and helping us grow in LA. This could be thorough a mixture of jobs including script coverage, online research, course/seminar preperations, etc. Fees for each will then be discussed, but this is for future work.

Please send a resume and short cover letter

"...The process of writing a screenplay is different from writing a play in many essential ways. The first is the difference in the use of action."  For screenwriters, action is the primary tool of structure. But for playwrights, the primary tool is dialogue.
