Kelly is an entrepreneur, running an exciting event planning business that specializes in themed events. With the help of her long time friend and business partner, Lavert Rodgers, she hires actors/singers/performers, writes scripts, and builds sets to give events a theatrical feel. Kelly also majored in theatre in college, spent 4 years in an improvisational comedy troupe, and she also co-wrote a 10-episode season of a web series with some of her closest friends."
Aslan is an avid screenwriter living in Austin,TX. He's been writing for over 10 years, hosts a local screenwriting workshop called Wordsmiths as part of Austin Film Meet, and has had some short staged plays and films produced. He hopes to one day acquire a writing agent to jump start his career in the writing field because it is one of his biggest passions.
Katra Film Series is dedicated to discovery, exhibition and promotion of quality emerging cinema, providing a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work in front of a live audience and to network with likeminded industry professionals. Every season we curate a selection of quality films, web series and digital works where the audience votes for one project to advance to the final rounds. Regardless of who wins each season all works will be considered for the Year-End Grand Finale Event where the top works will compete for over 10K in prizes at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Brooklyn, NY.
Changing Face International Film Festival aims to encourage diverse content from diverse creators. CFIFF was started as a way to bring together filmmakers from all over the world to celebrate each others work and to create a festival that was supportive of screenplays and screenwriters. Their goal for 2019 is to continue to create opportunities for wonderful filmmakers.
