Picture The Possibilities by Cinequest holds its annual Creativity Summit during the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival as well. Over 1,100 artists, innovators, and youth present from over 50 countries each year.

Scriptation Founded by a television writer and script coordinator, Scriptation is the #1 PDF annotation app for film and television professionals. It supports all common annotation types including highlights, drawings, notes, free text, images, sound recordings, and more. Combined with its proprietary note transferring algorithm, Transcription, which analyzes script changes and intelligently transfers a user’s annotations into each new draft, Scriptation is the only paperless solution built for the entire production crew.

Finish Line Script Competition redefines the screenwriting competition, embracing the rewrite as an essential component in any successful screenplay, and incentivizing every entrant to dig deeper, find their best draft, and win. With the guidance of a seasoned script consultant, you can work on your rewrites AFTER submitting your script to the competition and then, after reviewing their notes, RESUBMIT your script to us, having improved your draft and thus bettering your chances to WIN!  Our screenplay consultants will provide comprehensive development notes (5-6 pages) on your screenplay or pilot, for as many drafts as you choose, focusing on the fact that the STORY and WRITER are KING. Just as with development execs at studios, production companies or networks, we will go through draft after draft with you to get your script into TIPTOP shape. With the Finish Line, winning is always within reach, perhaps only a draft away.

The Vancouver International Women in Film Festival Screenplay Competition accepts English-language feature screenplays written by women. The festival is a forum for collaboration and networking with other screenwriters and filmmakers who contribute to the visibility of women through the ongoing practice of their craft. Women In Film and Television Vancouver (WIFTV) is a member driven, not-for-profit society, which addresses systemic barriers to women’s equal participation in the production and dissemination of screen-based media. We approach our goals by working with a range of partners to increase funding, employment, and promotional opportunities for those identifying as women. We offer professional skill-based training, and create opportunities to further women-led projects. We present and publicly celebrate the achievement of women in screen-based media, primarily, but not exclusively, through The Vancouver International Women in Film Festival.

Hi,

I drove into Vancouver June 21st and could not get parking anywhere close by the Blarney Stone. I drove past it a couple of times.  The parking meters on the street don't take cash anymore and kept refusing my 'pay by telephone' request.  Then, I went to a parking lot and the machine could not read my credit card.  I'm not sure what is wrong with the parking situation in Vancouver, but I was extremely disappointed that I could not attend the meeting.  I know this isn't your fault but I did not want to park very far away from the Blarney Stone and walk as that neighbourhood is very dangerous for anyone, especially women.  Next time if you hold it at a different venue, one where there is a parkade with an actual human taking the parking money, and in a safer part of Vancouver, I will attend.

Hello, Rita. Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern about parking and personal safety and have been advised by one of our Vancouver partners about "a safe and accessible parking lot that is only two blocks away and on a safe/ busy/ tourist street." She sent us a link to that and we have included that now in the event page information. Thank you, again, Rita, we hope to see you at one of our events very soon.
