Hi,

I drove into Vancouver June 21st and could not get parking anywhere close by the Blarney Stone. I drove past it a couple of times.  The parking meters on the street don't take cash anymore and kept refusing my 'pay by telephone' request.  Then, I went to a parking lot and the machine could not read my credit card.  I'm not sure what is wrong with the parking situation in Vancouver, but I was extremely disappointed that I could not attend the meeting.  I know this isn't your fault but I did not want to park very far away from the Blarney Stone and walk as that neighbourhood is very dangerous for anyone, especially women.  Next time if you hold it at a different venue, one where there is a parkade with an actual human taking the parking money, and in a safer part of Vancouver, I will attend.

Hello, Rita. Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern about parking and personal safety and have been advised by one of our Vancouver partners about "a safe and accessible parking lot that is only two blocks away and on a safe/ busy/ tourist street." She sent us a link to that and we have included that now in the event page information. Thank you, again, Rita, we hope to see you at one of our events very soon.
