A new production company is seeking experienced screenwriters to adapt a biographical book into a feature length screenplay. The book is based on the life of an immigrant entrepreneur who rose from a modest family background to stellar business success in the U.S., which was wiped out during the recession of 2008. He found the courage to launch again and repeat his success much faster than the first time around.
While the entrepreneurial journey chronicled in this book is not unusual for the U.S., the story has elements of Slumdog Millionaire combined with The Pursuit of Happyness. We are confident that a talented screenwriter will mine the material to narrate it in a unique way, with humor and heart.
At this time, we are only requesting an Expression of Interest. We want to hear from screenwriters who have written at least one feature-length screenplay that has been produced into a film. The film should have been shown at a major film festival or had a theatrical release.
To apply, please submit a resume with links to your work on IMDB or other online sites.
