Erik V Wolter is an author, screenwriter, producer, and founder of EVW Entertainment.
Erik's first movie "Break the Stage" is scheduled for release in Spring 2019. The movie is Erik's adaptation of his YA novel of the same name. Erik was the executive producer.
Erik's adaptation to the screen of a Eugene O'Neil play, now titled "Fight Pride" will be a co-production with EVW Entertainment and Max Czertok’s Idea Media. Max Czertok and Erik have also teamed up to produce the Sci-fi, MAN, written by Erik. Both MAN and Fight Pride will go into production early 2019.
Erik’s screenplay “The Dance” is based on the novel, To Dance! by H.L. Sykes and Erik V Wolter and has been optioned by Silver lining Pictures.
Erik's first book, Loyalty on Trial: One American's Battle with the FBI, is a nonfiction historical documentation of how his German American father was prosecuted for imagined disloyalty during WWII. The screenplay adaptation was a Finalist in the historical category of the Page Awards.
The screenplay "Footsteps of My Father" was a finalist in the family drama category of the 2016 Screenplay Festival. "Saturday School" made it to the Semifinals in the drama category of the same contest. "Footsteps of My Father" was a finalist the 2015 BlueCat Screenplay contest and is the top uploaded script on the Black List for 2016 in the War genre. "End of the Line" co-authored with David Weinraub, an adaptation of David’s novel, “Resistance” was a 2017 finalist in the Screenplay Festival.
Teaming up with novelist Steve Shear, Erik has collaborated with Steve to adapt three of his novels to screenplays; “The Trials of Adrian Wheeler,” “The Click” (a Sci-fi thriller), and “The Fountain,” (based on Steve’s most recent novel), “The Fountain of Youth.”
The Trials of Adrian Wheeler is in development with Erik's production company, EVW Entertainment. Additional titles in development are - "Break the Stage: Senior Year" (the sequel to Break the Stage); "Dance 4 Cash" (TV reality contest); "End of the Line”; "No Simple Truth" (crime drama based on a true story), “a Step Ahead” (a feature film), and "The Art of the Chase" (based on a book of the same name by Robert James Masters).
Erik has written over twenty-five feature screenplays, including "Vikings of Lynwood" the screenplay based on the true story of David Lynn and a rogue police gang in LA, collaborated with other screenwriters, and written numerous spec scripts of his own.
