I am an award winning filmmaker from Chicago living in Germany. I have produced, written and directed documentary and narrative films, one (14th Place) won a Silver Plaque Award at the Chicago International Film Festival; another (All My Tomorrows) won a Silver Remi at the WorldFest 51 Houston International Film Festival. My Norman Mailer documentary, The Sanction To Write, premiered at the Thalia in New York. It was also showcased at the Munich International Film Festival and broadcast on the USA Network and PBS. I have produced a short (17min.) film, Momentum, which was screened at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival and at several other film festivals garnering a "best editing" award as well as "best director" and "best screenplay". I have written seven feature length screenplays, one which has been sold on option but not produced. Two I have produced, written and directed - 14th Place, All My Tomorrows (both short films). "Only A God Can Save Us", a documentary about Martin Heidegger and his Nazi past, has been screened in Freiburg, Paris, Jerusalem, Spain, Switzerland, Australia, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Chicago. My documentary on James Jones, Reveile To taps, was broadcast on PBS and received excellent reviews in TV Guide, Wallstreet Journal, Christian Science Monitor and the Philadelphia Daley News. My documentary, Jazz Expatriates, was broadcast on German TV and was awarded special recognition by The German Film Institute Wiesbaden which led to it being screened in 70 theatres throughout Germany.
