For all you writers who are also filmmakers, we are seeking completed short horror films that relate to or reference the current quarantine (however loosely) for inclusion in an Anthology. Accepted films receive a small upfront stipend and 5% of any backend.
You may also submit a film made prior to quarantine if the story/set-up feels as if it could be happening today in the current crisis. (If you choose to shoot a new film while in quarantine, know that you must abide by all restrictions currently in place regarding social distancing, filming inside your own homes or yards using the materials available to you).
Elements of the supernatural and/or sci-fi are ok. Films can also deal with real-life horror in the current situation. Besides the fact the short needs to reference or imply the quarantine in some way, the storyline is very much up to you. Adult language/situations are ok. Nudity is ok as it pertains to the story, but of course, nothing overtly pornographic. Time-wise, aim for between 5-20 min, although exceptions could be made for something truly extraordinary.
Filmmakers retain rights to their short films and only grant the rights for the short to be used in the anthology. Must provide proof that you have the rights to any music included in the shorts.
Please add your completed short film to the video pitch section on the ISA by June 1st.
