We're looking for a powerful story around homelessness. The screenplay should be something that can be filmed on a minimal budget in the US. There should be a theme of "hope," but the story shouldn't "all wrap up with a tidy bow" at the end. Ideally, your screenplay should be something that leaves the watcher moved and empowered. If your story contains a faith element in it, we see this as a plus but not a mandate.
