Allegra Oxborough is a Brooklyn-based independent filmmaker whose works have shown at Academy-Award qualifying festivals, museums, and venues worldwide, including LA Shorts, Brooklyn Film Festival, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and Paris Film Week. Allegra’s 2018 docu-fiction short, “Distance,” was praised by NoBudge.com for its “intoxicating ability to capture private conversations with dead-on accuracy,” and by a Short of the Week curator for “Amazing performances and direction.” Allegra’s recent short “I Already Went” premiered in May 2024 at Vienna Shorts International. Their forthcoming short "Welcome to Paris" is a US-French co-production in post-production, and the script is a Semi-Finalist of the Shore Scripts Short Film Fund 2024 competition. Allegra's short script "Portrait" was a Quarter-Finalist of ScreenCraft Film Fund 2024, and a Semi-Finalist of the WeScreenplay Shorts Competition 2024, and received production funding from New York State in 2024. Allegra's debut feature script "Nothing to Hide" won the 2025 ISA Table Read My Screenplay Grand Prize, and will be featured in a table read at the Cannes Marché du Film in 2025.
