Deal Just Closed for THE FALL img

Michael Lipoma signed an option for his feature, then two producers with financing attached two casting directors, and everyone is excited to move forward. Lipoma said "This milestone is a big stop on a long road for this project. I can't remember how many drafts went into this, but I know I don't have enough fingers and toes to count! The lesson I learned is that projects take time, and just never stop writing, rewriting, and rewriting again."

Shortlisted for Kodak Short Film Fund img

Development Slate writer Rachel S. Thomas-Medwid's project DISSECTION DAY has made the shortlist for the First Flights x Kodak Short Film Fund 2025 in association with Raindance and Periscope. Along with grants for finalists, the initiative supports using the resulting short films as proof of concept for future feature films. The film, directed by Thomas-Medwid, is currently in post, with principal photography wrapping in December 2024.

ISA Development Slate writer Marcus Stricklin was selected for The Fellowship, a creative accelerator for under-represented writers, in association with Loot, a fantasy universe platform. The year-long program is designed to fund fantasy novellas that can work on Loot, as well as potentially be turned into television series and films by SuperSpecial. Marcus' novella "Nightwalkers of the Gold Coast" is one of five comissioned under The Fellowship.
