Biography

Ashley James Louis is best known for writing the neo-Western thriller THE LAST VICTIM, which was praised by best-selling author Stephen King as a “bloodthirsty thriller” that’s “a combination of Joe Pickett and Cormac McCarthy”. The film stars Ali Larter (Final Destination, Landman), Ralph Ineson (The Witch, The First Omen) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Pacific Rim) and is available for streaming on HULU.

Recently, Louis was brought on as a story consultant on the upcoming MMA drama AMERICAN WARRIOR starring Danny Trejo.

Louis was also the Grand Prize Winner of the 4th Annual Stage 32 Sci-Fi/Fantasy Contest, as well as winning "Best Sci-Fi Script" at the Hollywood Horrorfest -- both for his science fiction screenplay CATALINA.

His sci-fi/thriller TV pilot script BOOTSTRAP NATION was a finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.

He is also a “Black List Recommended Writer”, ranking in the top 1% of all writers on blcklst.com for his script A LONG SHADOW AT NOON.
