Carol was born and raised in Oakland, California, and has been a scriptwriter for 11 years. She recently formed her own film production company, Blue Carp Productions LLC, to produce some of her own projects. Her family crime dramedy, Ryan’s Treasure Hunt was optioned by Roslin Pictures.
Carol’s passion is to write and produce films that portray positive and important images of women and Asians. She is seeking markets for eight of her scripts. Six have won or placed in sixteen screenplay contests, most notably, the Write Room Grand Prize for Donaldina: Based on True Events in the Life of Donaldina Cameron (now renamed The Angry Angels of Chinatown) and Third Place in the Cinequest Film Festival Screenplay Contest for the same script.
Carol has also written five work-for-hire scripts as part of her freelance writing business. She has also produced several stage productions and is a very organized person. As an accomplished speaker, she has taught at various conferences and writers groups. Carol is a member of several writers and film organizations, most notably Women in Film San Francisco Bay Area and the California Writers Club.
