Charlie Phoenix was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She began working in entertainment as an assistant stage manager for a small theater in Hollywood. She went on to produce and post supervise various documentary and reality television programming before transitioning to writing and producing scripted content full time.    Charlie writes fearlessly about the under-represented; carrying the mantle of those with no outlet to voice their stories.      A Daughter's Plan to Kill, a film she co-wrote with her writing partner Chanon Finley, airs on Lifetime in November 2019.   She was the bronze prize winner for the World Series of Screenwriting Competition and an official finalist in the New York Screenplay Competition for her pilot Border State.
