Chris A. Bolton is a writer and director who grew up in Eugene, Oregon. Inspired by his experience with a recovering alcoholic father, a Black stepfamily, and a gay older brother, he writes high-concept elevated genre storytelling about unique, non-traditional family bonds.
His TV pilot, BLACKFRIAR, won the 2022 ScreenCraft Horror Contest and his feature screenplay, LEMMINGS, won the 2019 ScreenCraft Animation Contest. Chris's other feature and pilot scripts have been finalists in more than 30 contests, including the ScreenCraft Horror, Drama, and Action/Adventure Competitions, the CineStory Foundation, and the Table Read My Screenplay Genre Competition—Austin. Two of his scripts have reached the second round of the Austin Film Festival.
