I started falling in love with the film industry while working as script supervisor for noted Berlin director Wolfgang Staudte. He encourage me to branch out into acting. I then studied dance, acting for the stage and singing, appeared in some big musicals, on TV and in Italian Cinema. While living in the UK I worked at 'Handmade Films' the incredible production company run by Beatle George Harrison and developed a screenplay together with his partner Denis O'Brian. Leaving Europe, I ran a theater company in New Zealand and worked at TV ONE as screenwriter and actress. The editor of Auckland based MORE magazine (published by Australian Consolidated Press) loved my submitted articles about showbiz personalities: actors/directors/producers/writers, as well as distributors and encouraged me to keep writing, paying really well. When my family moved to New South Wales, Australia, I began working full time for this conglamorate of magazines (Conde Nast Traveler, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Woman's Weekly) becoming noticed by the head of ACP, Kerry Packer, who also owned a TV station, 'channel 9' and invested in the movie business in Australia and in the USA, with Arnon Milchan's NEW REGENCY. His son James later formed 'RATPAC' with Brett Ratner, at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, where they produced some great movies. I interviewed James for Cosmopolitan while still living in Sydney, as well as the great director Simon Wincer and many other famous Aussies. We ended up legally moving to America where I attended film school in Honolulu at the University of Hawaii. It was there where I wrote, produced and directed my first film, a comedy called 'RENT A GENT'. When I moved to LA, I won several script writing awards and futhermore studied directing under Lilyan Chauvin, after joining WIF.  Having now  lived in Santa Fe, NM for many years, George RR Martin's Cinema gave 'Rent a Gent' a world premiere, red carpet treatment. It will also be shown again in 2020 at THE ALICE FILM FESTIVAL for women directors in Silver City this December!
