Award winning screenwriter Christine Pfeiffer Stocke (her Mom makes her say that when introducing herself) studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Not one to take herself so seriously she went on to study improv, comedy and skit writing at The Groundlings School for Theater and Comedy located as well in New York City.
After a brief stint doing audience warm up for Nickelodeon she and her partner Dan Stocke soon found themselves writing skits for a pilot that went unproduced. Having realized that writing was what they enjoyed, Christine & Dan started writing features together.
Their first screenplay One Bad Apple placed in the Top 10 of the Page International Screenwriting Awards for 2020. Their second screenplay First Runner Up went on to win the 2020 Golden Script competition as well as have strong finishes in the 2020 LaunchPad Competition, 2020 Filmatic Comedy Competition, The 2020 Los Angeles International Screenwriting Competition to name a few. Currently both First Runner Up and One Bad Apple are quarter finalists in the 2020 Genre Screenplay Competition and 2020 Big Break Screenwriting Contest.
Christine is also the co-creator and co-writer of the live theater show Dance TV (DTV). Inspired by the fictional dance show from 80’s classic film “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, Dance TV takes you on stage and behind the scenes of the number one show in the country, Dance TV, as it “films” its latest episode. In addition to the script, all the music for Dance TV is original and is written by Christine’s DTV creative partner Andy Frye. In October of 2019 Dance TV premiered on stage at The Catalyst Content Festival to a standing room only crowd. In January of 2020 the show moved to Minneapolis and debuted to a sold out crowd. After the show sold out again in February Dance TV was offered a monthly residency. Sadly the production was shut down due to Covid. Thanks 2020!
Christine is currently writing her third screenplay with Dan Stocke and is working with Andy Frye to re-envision Dance TV as an actual tv show. In her spare time she likes to write her third screenplay and work on re-envisioning Dance TV as an actual tv show.
