Cortez Davis III Cortez Davis III was born in Washington D.C. and later raised in Houston, TX. At an early age Mr. Davis found himself intrigued with the creative genius that went into the creation of movies and other literary works. Mr. Davis soon began to write himself. His initial form of self expression was Rap and Poetry, where he began working on a poetry book about his life entitled, "Poetic Thoughts of a Black Man Searching",, that he is currently seeking to publish, but as the years passed and the pages turned; so would the life and times of Cortez Davis. From there Mr. Davis embarked upon his literary journey and where he delved into the world of screenplays. With no screenwriting experience or formal training he utilized the resources at his disposal by learning basic formatting and style techniques, talking with industry professionals, reading old scripts, and weekly e-newsletters from various websites, such as www.NetworkISA.com, www.Mandy.com, www.hollywoodlitsales.com, www.Donedeal.com, www.scriptsales.com, www.moviebytes.com, and www.Inktip.com where his comedy script “Boyz in da Woods” , caught the attention of Grammy Award Winning Manager/Producer Tim Grace of Gag Order Films. Mr. Grace later received an offer to produce a low-budget comedy and with the Lord’s blessings, Mr. Grace chose another one of Mr. Davis' comedy scripts entitled, “Small Timers”. (IMDB), in which he had a small camep appearance. The film was featured on the cover of the October 2007 issue of the Inktip magazine, “The Market Place” where Mr. Davis also received a positive write up (Article) by Producer, Tim Grace and from Actor Al Dias who played a bid part in it.   Mr. Davis has written several scripts in various genres from dramas, comedies, animations, and two very funny comedies, that he is extremely proud of entitled, “The Womanizer" and "The Disciples"
