Duncan is a professional actor/writer living in New England. He can be seen in front of the camera in such films as "Mystic River," "The Town," "The Judge," "By the Sea" as well as TV shows and commercials. His live action children's historical educational TV pilot script, "Half Pint History" was produced by Original Concept & Development Associates in 2013/14 taking home a VanGough Award for best writing at the Amsterdam Film Festival and a 2022 New England Emmy Award Nomination. His short film "Macy's Goes to War" was produced by OCD Associates and had an award winning festival run before airing on Oklahoma PBS in 2022. His short satirical film "Dunk Dial" was very well received on YouTube. Duncan's screenplays have won awards in writing competitions around the globe, and he has received four New England Emmy Award nominations, for PSA Campaigns, winning two statues. His New Hampshire Literary Award nominated mystery e-novella, "Pocket Change," was published in 2015 (also an Audio Book narrated by Chris Cuilla in 2016), and a sequel called "The Dead of Winter" is in the works. He has co-authored several children's book manuscripts with award winning author Beth Glass that are looking for a publisher.
Duncan created the Emmy winning 7DayPSA competition that challenges filmmaker teams to write, shoot & edit public service announcements for deserving non-profit organizations that can't afford the cost of professional production. In 2016 Duncan conceived of and created the Children's Hospitals International Film Festival for Flickers to bring wonderful short films from around the world to the young patients in hospital. The festival premiered at Boston Children's Hospital in partnership with Seacrest Studios before going on to hospitals across the US and Canada. Duncan is often found in coffee shops with his laptop working on several writing projects at the same time.
