Elvira Ibragimova is an LA based comedy filmmaker. Elvira is a half Jewish, half Muslim refugee, hailing from sunny, Soviet-era Uzbekistan. After an initial career in architecture, she turned to filmmaking. She studied at Second City’s Harold Ramis Film School. Her short film Dingus Wishes placed in multiple film festivals and helped her secure the Viacom Viewfinder Directing Fellowship, a yearlong training program for episodic television. Her TV credits include Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Danger Force and Fairly OddParents. Her latest project, We’re Doing Good, is an autobiographical comedy series about trying to be a good person; it had its world premiere at SXSW and also screened at SeriesFest where it won the Caz Matthews grant.
