Ilana Gordon is a comedy writer originally from Connecticut. She has lived in Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and currently resides in a state of continuous panic.    By day, she works as an entertainment journalist, writing about celebrity news and pop culture for E!'s Daily Pop.  At night, she revises screenplays, and contributes comedic and long-form writing to places like The A.V. Club, The Daily Dot, The Takeout, Rewire.News, Atlas Obscura, Huffington Post, Business Insider, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, The American Bystander, Weekly Humorist, Twofiftyone.net, The Belladonna Comedy, Reductress, Mashable, The Second City Network, RedEye Chicago, ART + marketing, The Muse, Dose and OMGFacts. Her comedic pilot "Cash Explosion" made the Top Five of Final Draft's 2020 Big Break Competition, and her short film "Designated Rider" is a festival selection in the LA Comedy and Screenplay Festival (Winner, Best Performances), Chicago International Reel Shorts Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, and the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Ilana has written three comedic pilots, any of which she would be happy to share with you.
