Janet Hetherington is a screenwriter and cartoonist with a degree in Journalism from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Janet has worked on a number of comic book projects, including Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Gothic Tales of Haunted Love, Secret Loves of Geek Girls, Honey West/Kolchak the Night Stalker, Love in Tights, her creator-owned Eternal Romance comic series and many others. Janet's comics work has been featured in the book The Great Women Cartoonists by Trina Robbins. Janet is busy these days writing screenplays, including the award-winning film noir Murder in High Heels and the western features The Last Outlaw and Jesse James: Lawman, working with director Brett Kelly. Janet's horror feature script Black Goose, inspired by Canada's haunting legend the Baldoon Mystery, is a multiple award winner. Janet's micro horror shorts Eyeball Boy (2019), Kreepsake (2018) and Crapper (2017) have all been featured as part of the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge. Crapper landed 7th place in the Lestat Horror Top 10. In 2014, Janet was awarded first place in the Cellar Door Film Festival promo video competition. Lately, Janet has been working on animated shorts in the sci fi (Stargo) and horror (Eyeball Boy) genres.
