Jeanne Veillette Bowerman is the Editor of Script Magazine and Co-Founder of Twitter screenwriters’ chat, #Scriptchat. Jeanne also is President of Implicit Productions where she wrote and produced the short film Impasse, as well as Executive Produced Gone Elvis. In 2013, she received the Spirit of Flyway Award from the Flyway Film Festival and in 2014 was selected as one of the Tracking Board’s Top 25 Feature Writers in their Launch Pad Competition for her narrative feature adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, Slavery by Another Name. The 10-hour limited series version of the adaptation is currently a second round pick of Sundance Episodic Labs. Her writing has also been selected as a Creative Screenwriting Expo Finalist, Quarterfinalist Final Draft Big Break, Quarterfinalist PAGE Awards, Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Second Round, and the DC Women in Film’s Spotlight on Screenwriters.
