JOE AUGUSTYN is a screenwriter and author of books and short stories. A FOCUS Award winner for writing and an AFI grad in producing, he created the horror franchise NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, writing and producing the original film and writing the first sequel. Joe retired from producing to focus on writing after his second feature NIGHT ANGEL, the first to introduce proto-feminist demon Lilith to the world of cinema. With four movies produced and countless writing assignments under his belt, for companies like TRISTAR, PROPAGANDA and ANONYMOUS CONTENT, Joe relocated to Philadelphia and began writing books. NIGHT OF THE DEMONS was recently cited in Prof. Robin Means Coleman's book HORROR NOIRE as a "cult fan favorite among hip young adult movie-goers" (along with ROCKY HORROR, PINK FLAMINGOS, THE HARDER THEY COME and ERASERHEAD). Joe's books include zombie epic DEAD RAIN and THE NINE LIVES OF FELICIA MILLER, a tale of witchcraft and teen shapeshifters; a collection of scifi and horror stories BAD DAY IN PARADISE; and a non-fiction book GHOSTWRITER: TRUE TALES OF THE PARANORMAL which actor-paranormal enthusiast Dan Aykroyd declared "an essential volume... in the understanding of the paranormal."
