An alumnus of the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, John—originally from Massachusetts—has written for Universal, Disney, and CBS. He wrote the Disney Channel movie MINUTEMEN, for which he received a Humanitas Prize nomination. His Black List screenplay GREETINGS FROM JERRY inspired the short film "Jerry," which John wrote and directed, starring Justin Timberlake. A short proof of concept film for John's feature screenplay SCHOOL NIGHTS, which John directed with funding from a grant awarded by The Black List, has recently completed an award-winning run on the festival circuit (including screenings at the San Diego Film Festival and Independent Film Festival Boston, among others).
