Jon has been working in the film industry for nearly 20 years. He was a survivor of an English boarding school, which probably explains the darker edges to his films. With a degree in psychology, he brings that understanding to his stories, creating strong and interesting characters.
Jon often writes female leads with the strength to rescue themselves and this gives a more individual feel to his films. He has written and directed half a dozen indie features including Ravenswood (2016), Final Move (2012) and The 7th Hunt (2008). On top of his feature projects, he's also directed a comedy webseries, Killa Kafe (2018) and a clutch of award winning short films most which are proof of concept pieces as well, including Paradox (2020), Love Charlie (2019), The Game (2010) and Wrong Answer (2005). This gives him the experience needed to deliver the result, on time and on budget.
Jon's approach to script and story telling is to be both entertaining and thought provoking, while keeping a realism and veracity to the worlds of the page. Most importantly, if it's not on the page, it doesn't exist in the world of the film.
