Biography

Fueled by ridiculous jealousy and shameless admiration of incredibly prolific authors/TV writers Stephen King, Julian Fellowes, and Diana Gabaldon [ of Outlander], and the abject terror of not getting my stories told, I write every day. I do freelance entertainment journalism for LA PRENSA, a top bilingual COMCAST outlet in Northern California. I write long-form features about film and TV and live cultural events, they give me freedom and lots of ink, I do interviews and love the opportunity to learn about all kinds of production, TV and Film 'stuff'.

My ambitious Medieval Spanish Historical Horror/Vampire TV series 'The Black Castle'. Based on 5 books that travel from Spain to Mexico to France, England and India, the project is very developed. I am seeking the right visionary partner with streamer contacts to launch it internationally; it will be shot around Spain and Europe, with production quality assured by fabulous Fresco Film who did everything for Game of Thrones in Spain.

I also edited a scandalous tell-all fashion memoir book for a big designer - "My Outrageous Crimes of Fashion", wrote "The Knife" a beauty biz farce web series for QuenCode a tech company- and a sports script "Reach" for a former athlete. My Latin Dance Fantasy script, Club Vida Loca, is revived and timely for a pick-up, as is Madame Presidente, the story of Elena Rodriguez, gutsy 4 term congresswoman from the Bronx whose brass-ring moment arrives when she's appointed Secretary of State  and shortly thereafter, POTUS when the White House goes down in a sinkhole, killing [almost] all of the self-serving and corrupt and bad actors with it. Elena shows the people of America what true Democracy looks like, restoring faith with compassionate, pragmatic and dynamic leadership in the wake of a corrupt presidency. [I started that in 2017, did a recent rewrite: shocked at how even more timely it was again [?!},

I love writing: scripts, books -- ghosting and creative editing for others, and historical fiction for myself-- and scripts--have great interest in period projects--love historical fiction -- European mingled with fantasy-- my faves being The Last Kingdom, GOT,  Outlander, The Great, The Favourite, 1917, El Ministerio Del Tiempo, also love supernatural content, and relate to esoteric, and some faith-related--like A Discovery of Witches, The Two Popes, Name of the Rose [the Sundance Now series] DaVinci Code, The Way, even The Chosen.

A sucker for smart political shows: The Night Agent, House of Cards, Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, and Homeland are also favorites. I also love French shows Call My Agent, and Marie Antoinette, and Brit dramas Sanditon and Downton Abbey guess you can say I like edgy, stylish, character-driven shows with smart dialogue.

A bit of background:

East Coast born, worked in NYC, my first career was as a fashion designer where I worked in New York and Paris for Balmain, Lagerfeld and Louis Feraud, I became a theater and commercial director, then screenwriter/journalist.

Lived in Paris for six years, and traveled around Europe, where I lived for over a decade.

Traveled extensively, been to 23 countries. Began writing in the late 90's and worked as a journalist for entertainment, politics, business, lifestyle, and health. Written for Hollywood Reporter, Latin Style, Mexican Travel and Life, Policy and Practice, Latino Leaders,  Estylo, and many other publications. I currently do long-form pieces for the bilingual print and web outlet LaPrensa.

Have interviewed stars like De Niro,  Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, Richard Gere, Eva Mendes, Robert Rodriguez, Terrence Howard, Ricky Martin, Guillermo de Toro, Gina Rodriguez...Laura Linney, and many more. I still do long-form journalism and cover cultural events.

I have 35 PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS on Linked In.com from clients. Please feel free to check them out, and consider me for your projects.

I am seeking dynamic representation, and am open to assignments, writer-for-hire stuff, and cool collaborations.
