Kevin North Ruiz grew up colleting everything comic and toy related from the 80s, is an L.A. sports fan to the bone, and was single handedly inspired by one movie… Airplane! Kevin is a filmmaker who has worked in the film industry in some capacity for 20 years, which includes working on feature and TV movie sets, poster designing, acting, and script editing. But it wasn’t until ten years ago, that he decided to write, direct, and produce his own films. He has gone on to write or direct a total of 21 films, ranging from comedy (THE 7 LIVES OF SARA BLANCHARD, BRUCE WAYNE BEGINS, MILLENNIALITIS), Drama (THE EXORCISM OF ISABELLA RAMIREZ, DEATHPROOF, THE PATRIOT), and Sci-Fi (HUMAN REPORT 85616). His first feature film, S'IDS LAKE, which he made in 6 days with $25,000, received 14 awards, including Best Thriller, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, and has found distribution to such platforms as Amazon Prime, YouTube+, and TUBI. His most recent films “The 7 Lives of Sara Blanchard” and “The Exorcism of Isabella Ramirez”, have screened in over 35 festivals worldwide, and have earned many awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Ensemble Cast.  Kevin Ruiz specializes in comedy, and “twisted” psychedelic stories. Whether it is poking fun at something humans do, or putting a character into a thought- provoking situation, Kevin loves working on movies that make you think. After years of working at mental hospitals, marketing, teaching high school Physics and Calculus, and making the jump into film, Kevin is now the CEO of S’ids Lake Productions LLC. He is currently happy to be working with Next Chapter Entertainment, and has 3 feature projects in the works of being optioned and/or produced.
