I originally hail from Indianapolis, Indiana and am the middle child and only girl in a family of five children. After years of doing theatre in Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Chicago, I made the move out west to focus on film and television eleven years ago. I honestly never intended to be a writer. I came out to LA to be an actor and realized that I could have a lot more fun writing my own content than waiting for auditons and roles to come my way. I started with silly sketches and short films for YouTube but slowly developed this desire to tell deeper, more in-depth stories which transitioned me into writing feature length screenplays. I’ve produced several short films and videos that I’ve written on my own and I have a sci-fi thriller pilot as well as a one hour drama that I’ve co-written which are currently being pitched around Hollywood. I've also written a non-fiction book about relationships and dating that is in the hands of several publishers that I hope to have a deal with soon. Some of the essays featured in the book have been previously published around the web on sites such as Elite Daily, Thought Catalog, Elite Millennial, and my own personal blog.
