Romanian-Spanish artist based in Singapore, Leonidas, born in Germany on the 25th of January 1974 [01:30AM] from Romanian immigrants grew up in a family with a long artistic tradition. He has completed primary and secondary school in Romania, followed by high school and college in Spain. Strongly influenced in his adolescence by changes at all levels, a change of country, the divorce of his parents and constant provocations from his classmates for being a foreigner, Leonidas found refuge not only in the arts where he learned some piano and guitar, writing his own songs and being part of a Rock band in the early 90s, but also in sports following two of his role models practicing Karate and Bodybuilding. His first contact with the world of acting came from the theater group he belonged to during his first year of high school followed by some extra roles in some local movies. But it would not be until his arrival in Singapore that he decided to take the big step and dedicate himself to the world of cinema from a more professional approach, covering various aspects such as acting, video editing, film music composition and finally scriptwriting, the foundation for storytelling. He is currently involved in acting for major media outlets such as TV series for Mediacorp and TV commercials as well as independent short films, student projects and personal passion projects. He occasionally directed third party's indie films, adapted other writers' concepts to screenplays and commissioned to compose the musical score for the upcoming film Kinder, available on Amazon Prime in Spring 2023. His acting, filmmaking and screenwriting projects have been recognized numerous times at international film festivals as well as screenplay competitions. Prof Gustav's Universe [Operation Banana, Dawn of Spectral Darkness and Dawn of Spectral Darkness, Ghaar] received recognition beyond the International Awards such as been featured in the 'Short Films' Magazine published by Indiewrap in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) available on Amazon US, with Leonidas being the only artist representing Singapore, as well as reviews and interviews in Athens [Greece], Bucharest [Romania], Paris [France] etc... His biggest dream is to become a full-time artist dedicating himself body and soul to the trade in both ways, acting and writing until his last breath.As Charles Bukowski allegedly once said: " Find What You Love and Let it Kill You".
