Mahonri Stewart (he/him/his) writes as a way to entertain his overactive imagination, seek meaning in a turbulent world, and give others the same kind of joy he has received from stories since he was a child. Mahonri writes in numerous genres, but specializes in probing, historical dramas and soaring fantasy-adventures. He earned an MFA in Dramatic Writing (screenwriting/playwriting) from Arizona State University and currently works as a teacher in Utah, but dreams of moving to a film center like Los Angeles, London, or New York to pursue his writing full-time.
AWARDS AND HONORS: Mahonri Stewart is a Final Draft Big Break Finalist, a two-time ScreenCraft Finalist (Feature and True Story/Public Domain), and a Top 25 finalst in Roadmap Writers', JumpStart Writing Competition, all for his Revolutionary War feature screenplay Wrightsborough. He is also a Top 10 Finalist in the Emerging Screenwriters Animation Screenplay Contest for his Studio Ghibli inspired fantasy Exiles.
