Biography

A Canadian creator, Matthew Forbes comes from a mixed-race family that cherishes the arts. With more than one novel to his name, an award-winning short film and feature screenplays that have won a combined 41 festival laurels and awards, Matthew adores the cinema and hopes to graduate to writing and directing features. A writer by nature, he spent almost twenty years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, as well as five years as a copy editor in China. As a survivor of childhood trauma, Matthew has a powerful sense of empathy and is obsessed with crafting stories that, well, say something.
