Biography

Michael Morra is an attorney who happily traded in the horrors of brief writing for the terrors of screenwriting. While Michael writes all types of scary films, he’s drawn to deeply traumatized characters who must overcome crippling emotions such as grief, guilt, and anxiety by confronting unspeakable horrors in the form of shape-shifting creatures, vengeful supernatural entities and, worse, other irreparably broken human beings. Michael is a recent winner of the Final Draft Big Break Grand Prize and Page Awards Gold Prize with ABOUT MCKENNA, a female-driven revenge thriller in the vein of COLLATERAL. Michael also has two projects optioned. FEAR BOX, a finalist in ScreenCraft Horror Competition, is a supernatural thriller that centers on anxiety and is in development with producer Rebecca-Clare Evans of Caged Film. Natalie Kennedy is set to direct. DAYLIGHT is a contained thriller set in a hotel that takes place almost entirely in one evening. It was optioned by Divine Entertainment, with Traci Lords set to direct.
