Early in his career, Michael had the privilege of developing and writing comic book and cinematic projects for MARVEL COMICS legend STAN LEE, including working on The 7thPortal franchise (the first streaming hit in internet history to reach over half of a million views) and The Backstreet Boys comic book. Before his passing, Stan asked Michael to develop a Ringo Starr show (think a comedic, action-packed international spy a touch like Austin Powers, but he’s a slick, funny, famous, motorcycle-riding black leather and sunglass wearing goat from The Beatles, always armed with his versatile gadget drumsticks) at his final company, POW! Entertainment.
Recently, Michael wrote the television pilot Capitol for Paragon Releasing. He has also developed projects with Hivemind and the creative team whose credits include The Expanse, The Witcher, Snake Eyes, Charlie’s Angels, The Huntsman, Disney’s Beauty & The Beast, Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, TV’s Flash and Arrow.
Michael has also developed feature films for Imagine Entertainment, Mandeville Films, Intrepid Pictures, Paradox Studios, Mystery Road Films, and The Canton Company at Warner Brothers. He has collaborated with producers Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Hacksaw Ridge) Branko Lustig (Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Schindler's List), Paul Schiff (Rushmore, My Cousin Vinnie, Young Guns), Sean Daniel (The Mummy franchise, Tombstone, The Witcher), writer/director Jonathan Hensleigh (The Punisher, Kill The Irishman, Ice Road and screenwriter on Armageddon), Director Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Donnie Brasco, Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire), and Academy-Award-winner Dustin Hoffman to name a few.
Tabb served as a script analyst for Alcon Entertainment, known for The Blind Side, Blade Runner 2049, The Book of Eli, and Insomnia with put deal at Warner Brothers.
Michael has taught screenwriting for Full Sail University’s Creative Writing MFA program, Nashville Film Institute, EEI Creative Arts: School of Film & Entertainment, and MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Company). He serves on the WGA’s Writer’s Education Committee, formally served on the New Members’ Committee, and has assisted the Writers’ Guild Foundation Community Outreach Program by guest instructing on his craft to underprivileged youth in Los Angeles.
