Michael J. White co-wrote and produced "Song Without A Name," a feature film that premiered in the Director's Fortnight section of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. His first novel, "Weeping Underwater Looks A Lot Like Laughter" (Penguin Putnam, 2010), was nominated for the Barnes & Noble Discovery Award and long listed for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. A Columbia University MFA graduate, his essays, short fiction and film reviews have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Korea Times, Conjunctions and The Chicago Review. An avid traveler and student of foreign cultures, he has taught at international high schools in South Korea, Poland and Peru.
Michael is currently pitching two pilots for original TV dramas, WHITE HORSE and TORO, as well as applying for positions as a staff writer or creative developer of original content for TV/Film.
