Mike is the founder and CEO of two companies:
The New York Motion Picture Company, a development and production company http://www.motionpicture.nyc
and Bliss Factory, a non-profit 501(c)3 social impact event and arts organization. http://www.BlissFactory.org
He holds a bachelor's from Columbia College Chicago, where he studied theater and filmmaking with related programs at Goldsmiths, University of London. He’s also a graduate of the Directors Guild of America Trainee Program. As a DGA Assistant Director, Mike has worked on projects such as Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle and Woody Allen’s Irrational Man.
He's produced several independent features. Screenings and exhibitions of films written or directed include The Social Justice Film Festival, Festival de Cannes, The Sarasota Film Festival, Woods Hole Film Festival, Internationale Kurzfilmwoche, Film Festival Kitzbühel, Anthology Film Archives, and IFP Lab New York. Mike recently received an MFA in Screenwriting from the David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts.
Mike currently teaches film production at Montclair State University.
