A native of Macedonia, Pavlina studied Public Relations in Paris and worked as news producer for CBS News and as a field producer for the USA Cable Networks.
An independent film producer since 1986, she has produced two feature films, The Magic Snowman (a children Christmas tale endorsed by UNICEF and dedicated to the world's children, 1987) and Happy Hell Night (a supernatural thriller, 1991). The Magic Snowman is distributed by Miramax/Buena Vista International. Over 20 million children in the US alone have seen the film on the Disney Channel. Ms. Proevska is in pre-production of The Magic Snowman II to be shot in Vermotn in 2020 and is developing the screenlay for The Magic Snowman III.
Ms. Proevska is presently packaging a 30min short docu-drama entitled My Heart is no longer an orphan - a yugslav love story- to be shot in Macedonia and Montenegro in early 2020 and concurrent to that porject she is packaging Borders in Heaven, a romantic comedy scheduled for production in Toronto, New York and Macedonia in late summer 2020.
The trilogy Rice, Milk and Stilettos is slated for 2021.
Ms. Proevska has recently completed The Promise of Perfume, a one-hour documentary film which she produced, wrote and directed.
She is the Executive Director of the Macedonian Arts Council, a nonprofit organization based in New York that promotes multicultural dialogue. Under the auspices of the Arts Cucnil she is presently completing two documentary films, Art Whispers and My American Pilgrimage.
She is fluent in five languages and lives and works in New York.
