Richard Dane Scott is an award winning screenwriter with several features in development. He co-wrote the family film MY DOG THE CHAMPION starring Lance Henriksen, Dora Madison Burge, and directed by Kevin and Robin Nations. It’s scheduled for release early in 2014. MY B.F.F. – a remake of the 80’s film SOUL MAN – will go into production in New Orleans in late January and stars C. Thomas Howell and Stacey Dash. Richard wrote a biopic of Pistol Packin’ Paula called THE ADVENTURES OF PEPPER AND PAULA and is currently in post production, starring Mindy Raymond and Allie DeBerry. He also wrote the dramedy THE UNDERCARD – which was a finalist in the 2010 Austin Film Festival competition – that’s in development and going out to talent. Also in the works are DREAMING OF THE MAJORS, an adaptation he wrote of a faith-based baseball book, STAGE V, a teen apocalyptic drama he co-wrote with director Buddy Calvo, and BOX OFFICE REJECTS, a teen comedy in development with The Nations.
