Roger Stigliano, Writer/Director Roger Stigliano has written and directed two feature films, and directed a third. Reviewing his first feature, an award-winner at the Berlin Film Festival, the New York Times wrote, “Fun Down There is not only about understanding. It demonstrates it with élan.” The Los Angeles Times wrote, “Stigliano is a filmmaker with vision.” FUN DOWN THERE went on to domestic and international theatrical and video distribution. BOB, VERUSHKA & THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS was his second feature as writer/director. The New York Post wrote, “endearing... brings to mind Jonathan Demme's Something Wild.” Stigliano has also written four original feature-length teleplays for MarVista Entertainment. THE NIGHTMARE NANNY is a thriller about the kidnapping of a young child by a grief- stricken young mother. Most recently, Stigliano and Waite wrote THE TWIN, a thriller about twin young men and the girl they both love. Stigliano’s other credits include writer (with Ethan Rains) of STILL HERE, starring the Oscar-nominated Shohreh Aghdashloo, and co-director of THE DOWNSIDE OF BLISS, starring Judd Nelson and Lydia Hearst. STONY BROOK is Stigliano’s probing feature drama about the life-long consequences of a school shooting, and a story of grief, rage and the search for redemption. It is currently in development for production in 2019, with Stigliano directing. Stigliano attended Regis High School in New York City. He studied biology and music at Antioch College, then graduated from Loyola University Law School. He lives in Los Angeles, where he and his husband are happily raising the three foster children they have adopted.
