Optioned and produced screenwriter Roxanne Beck Raye has been writing stories since she was seven. After a first career as a singer/voice actor in Nashville and New York, her love of movies and television inevitably led her to Los Angeles, where her first script was optioned by an Oscar-winning producer. Roxanne went on to earn an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA (Humanitas Drama Fellowship nomination, “Oliver’s Prize” for Best Family or Animated Film). Currently she is developing THE QUEEN OF MAGIC, a TV drama series based on the true story of the most successful female magician of the 20th century (Black List '9' rating). Roxanne’s writing tends to revolve around rebellious women who refuse to be silenced, and underdogs who never give up. She enjoys doing rewrites and polishes for studios and production companies, and volunteers as a tutor for 826LA.
