Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ryan is a recent graduate of New York Film Academy with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking. Throughout his time in college, he wrote, directed, and edited 10 short films, 3 commercials, and 1 music video. While enlisted in the Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Ryan discovered his passion for filmmaking. His drive to create and direct films originated from watching his vast collection of movies on repeat. Upon returning home, Ryan struggled with alcohol addiction and hit rock bottom. He almost became homeless, but his sister provided him with a place to stay. Over the next year, Ryan worked to build himself back up and changed jobs as better opportunities arose. Ultimately, he chose to go to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, where he acquired an Airframe and Powerplant license. Not satisfied with the aviation industry, Ryan decided to pursue his true passion, filmmaking, and enrolled in New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA. He is currently pursuing a Directing / Writing career in Atlanta, GA, where he hopes to work on sets and get an opportunity to create films for the world to see. He spends his days writing scripts to add to his list of films to direct as his career unfolds.
