In 2019 Sha-Risse won Best Screenplay at The American Black Film Festival for her film STRIVE starring Danny Glover and Joi Starr, produced and directed by Robert Rippberger. In 2014, Sha-Risse ranked in the Top 100 with her feature titled CURIOUS in the International 2014 Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition.
