Biography

I had always been a creative kind of kid, but being from a Jamaican mom who had her first child at 16, she always pushed me to be employable. So, my artistic skills were always mapped to career tracks that could keep me working consistently. Fine art and being a starving artist were out -- and marketing and advertising were in. "Corporations always need to sell stuff," she'd say. I took my mom's uncontestable advice and searched for a way to make my job interesting, at the very least.

Today, as a writer/producer at an entertainment studio, I create and produce sneaky commercials, more traditionally called branded content, for brands aligned to show IP. These spots often appear in the a-position in commercial time when you're watching your favorite dating show or scripted drama. You may see my custom spot and ask yourself, am I still watching the show, or did they just sell me a Lexus? Although I'm not working on the hero shows just yet, I'll keep writing until I do.
